AfroCentric Oakland invites you to become a sponsor for our annual Pan African Festival (PAF). This year’s sixth annual PAF will be held Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Mosswood Park, 3621 Webster Street, Oakland, CA 94609, from 10:00am-10:00pm.
As you may be aware, AfroCentric Oakland has hosted the Reunion for the last six years as a way to awaken the joy, celebration, art and Love amongst African descended peoples. The mission of the PAF is to promote individual community rejuvenation, and cultural pride through the presentation of art, the opportunity for art-making, artisan vending, and the invocation of cultural tradition. We have successfully drawn thousands of children and families to this festival over the years, relying on the love of volunteers and community members. We are expanding our work this year to invite sponsors to help us fulfill our mission. All contributions from sponsors provided will be used towards this PAF, and to continue the PAF for years to come. AfroCentric Oakland is a fiscally sponsored project of the City of Oakland’s Friends of Parks and Recreation, and all contributions are tax deductible. You can also donate to the PAF directly at www.
